Daily joined POLITICO in 2012 after 15 years at Reuters, where he covered energy, environment and business from bureaus in New York, Amsterdam and Houston.

During his years at Reuters, he covered everything from the havoc caused by Hurricane Katrina to the Enron criminal trials and landmark United Nations climate change negotiations, and he has dug deep into every energy source, from oilfield wellhead to solar panel.

Prior to Reuters, Daily worked as an energy reporter at Dow Jones Newswires, a commodities reporter at Futures World News, staff editor at the Rapaport Diamond Report, state reporter for UPI in Madison, Wis., and a stringer for the Capital Times. A graduate of UW-Madison, he was city editor for the independent student daily, The Badger Herald.
