Gloria Pazmino covers the New York City Council and City Hall for POLITICO New York.

For the past three years Gloria has covered the City Council, immigration and labor issues in New York City. During her time covering City Hall, she has closely followed Mayor Bill de Blasio’s fight to eliminate the horse carriage industry, the settlement of labor contracts with the entire uniformed workforce, and followed the political rise of Melissa Mark-Viverito—the city’s first Latina elected to lead the City Council.

Prior to covering politics, Gloria covered breaking news for NY1 Time Warner Cable News and worked as a neighborhood reporter in Northern Manhattan.

She is a graduate of St. John’s University.
