Michael is POLITICO’s cybersecurity editor, overseeing a team of reporters who cover the intersection of policy, politics and digital security. Prior to joining POLITICO, Michael edited Passcode, The Christian Science Monitor’s vertical dedicated to cybersecurity and digital privacy. During his time at the Monitor, Michael served as San Francisco bureau chief and Middle East editor during the Iraq War and Arab Spring. He also reported on technology for The Boston Globe, where he led coverage of the region’s booming innovation economy and explored tech’s growing impact on society.
