Laura Greenhalgh is managing editor of POLITICO Europe. In this role, she oversees staffing and management matters, recruitment, and development and training of the European newsroom.

Prior to this, Laura was managing editor, policy, coordinating across the various policy areas and working on product launches and enhancements.

Before joining POLITICO, Laura covered the EU policy bubble for five years as both news editor and Brussels beat reporter at the specialist independent outlet Research Europe, scrutinizing EU institutions to reveal the politics behind science, technology and higher education policy decisions.

She has worked as a reporter for the regulatory news site Chemical Watch and as a freelancer covering both science and sport.

A former world championship athlete, Laura now enjoys racing bikes. She holds a bachelor degree from the University of Cambridge and a masters from Imperial College London.
