Dan Goldberg is a deputy health care editor for POLITICO. Prior to that he was a reporter on the national health care team, covering politics and policy in the states. He previously covered New York State health care for POLITICO New York.
Before joining POLITICO New York, Dan was the health care reporter for the Newark Star-Ledger and a sports reporter for the Antelope Valley Press.
Dan’s first book, The Golden Thirteen: How Black Men Won The Right To Wear Navy Gold, was published in May 2020, and tells the story of the Navy’s first Black officers.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, and a master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University.
